What can I talk to my doctor about trying for my absence seizures and conplex partial seizures? I am getting tired of having them all the time. And obviously Keppra isn't helping them. Also do you have to pay a down payment to a neurologist of you don't have insurance?

You should qualify for insurance. I don't knw I think it depends on what state you live in

Hello SoonToBeMommy,

Neurologists like to know every single detail of what you experience, what they do to you and how you feel afterwards and these are the main points you must give and I highly suggest putting dates down the time you have them and how long they last besides noting your experience as every bit of detail helps concerning your diagnosis besides best medications.

I'm on keppra and they've helped my seizures slightly without no bad side affects but every individual is different.

The links below explain on insurance costs in Iowa.

I am on Keppra 500 mg 2x a day, I haven't had as many Grand Mals. But, I've boticed an increase un my myoclonus, absence, complex partials and petite mals. I lost my paper work I had to get insurance again though.

If you lost the paperwork that you need to fill out call the insurance company and they should send you another set.

If you lost paperwork from your dr they should have it and give it to you.
