Welcome! I have a son your age as well. He had to cope with my epilepsy while I wasn't driving and it was tough. Being different is probably the most difficult aspect of this disorder, but eventually you meet people who are compassionate and accepting of it.
It's really hard to not drive. But, as a result of not driving, you may be walking more than most people. Walking really helps fight stress, and stress is a factor in epilepsy.
I obtained a dog from a local pet humane society and that was the best investment I ever made. I miss our walk tonight. Everything is covered with ice and snow out there and I know I'm pretty graceless. I'll have to do a workout indoors here.
Music is also a great stress buster. Check Speber's Auditorium in here. If you know of some great music, please let us know.
Hopefully, you'll find the right neuro and he/she will find the right meds. Keep us posted.
