Well right now I'm a full time student taking the Recreation Facilitator for older adults program at red river college. I'm really enjoying it and do excellent in it.
I'm also volunteering at a seniors housing facility called Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts and the resident's there seem to really enjoy my company as well as me enjoying there company!!. I volunteer there atleast once every week and find it very fullfilling and would like to volunteer there more often but I have focus on my program because I find myself very fortunate due to the fact that WCB (workers compensation board) sponsored me and is continuing to take care of all my tuition fees etc.
They are also paying me 80% of my previous wage I was getting payed bi-weekly so that I can pay my bills and be able to fully focus on just completing my program.
If you were wondering why WCB is involved it is because of a traumatic injury that happened to my dominant left hand at work on October 16th/07 and since that day I still live on a daily basis with chronic pain due to the fact that where the brake press machine pressed through all my fingers except for my thumb had crushed the bones so severely that they are beyond being able to heal fully. So my surgeon had no choice but to amputate my small finger and transfer some of the blood vessels from my two forearms into my injured fingers or they would have to have been amputated to. The surgeon also had to place metal plates inside the bones in the first segments of my fingers due to the fact that the bones were beyond my bodies abilities to fully heal them. So I'm presently on a strong painkiller in addition to my AED's called Gabapentin.
So anyways my medications seem to be working well!
I also like to ask some of you a question that have epilepsy!
Due you sometimes seem to think that when your life seems to be under control and going fairly well and that all of a sudden out of nowhere a gran
mall seizure occurs. do you seem to wonder why did it it have to happen now out of all the other times of could happen because just 3 weeks ago I had a gran mall seizure in class and now in order for me to be qualified to take part in the field placement work of my program my instructors need a doctors note with him saying what the last date of my seizure was on prior to the one I had in class and in addition my neurologist has to write in the letter if a recreational facilitator is a good career fit for me and that all the current AED's I'm on are working well.
Is it just bad luck or being in the wrong place in the wrong time?

(Hmmm. good question if you ask me!!)
Take care and I hope to hear from you soon!
