My name's Kevin, 16 years old, This is how seizure happened for me:
When i was at middle school, (14 years old) i was an athlete (i still am), i had a seizure. I don't remember what happened the whole day, but this is what my friends said to me, and the doctor.
I once ran in the platform to catch up with someone, (we were just playing it seems). Many students say i was at my maximum speed, i don't know why i ran at that level, but suddenly a teacher came down through stairs, i looked at him, was afraid that i'd get scolded for running like this in the corridor and when i looked in front of me, there was a metal window, firmly pinned open. The hit made a devastating sound, people all over came rushing to me. I fell down, was perfectly still for over a min. I was knocked out cold, with my eyes open full of tears, as they were dry. After about 2-3 mins, a shot of Grand Mal epilepsy happened, along with vomiting as well. I was immedietly admitted to a hospital, and was given treatment. All scans were perfectly normal, MRI, EEG, everything. The doctor said it isn't possible for a head injury to trigger an epilepsy, but some problem or loss of blood supply to the brain. I was given a lot of pills to take, for a year and he said to keep an eye for me and the epilepsy may happen again.
2 years have passed, no case of epilepsy, but my studies went down drastically, very, very, drastically my maths score was almost down to 35% and i never went below 80% in any subject before that, in my entire school career. Not only maths, all subjects were almost down the ditch, my parents thought it was because of my long absence, i know that wasn't the cause, i just let it pass by. The next year, i switched schools, and got into IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) training program (I thought i am studying well, as i got into it and many can't). But then, the scores again went down too low, my parents became serious and i am going through a hard life atm. The reason is, i am not working or trying to study, i just think i should, but i don't. I don't know if it's due to the head injury, or i've been used to the excuse of long absence and health illness. I am at high school now, my marks have never been this low. Help me out a bit?
