What is being discovered in many neurological disorders is that if the GI - intestinal tract is inflammed, that it can produce something called leaky gut. This allows undigested food to go into the blood stream. The body sees this as an invasion, and puts out an all point bulletin for the immune system to kick into overdrive.

If you are sensitive to foods such as wheat, dairy, soy and corn, you set up a situation where the inside lining of your GI tract is inflammed. The first indication isn't always a stomach ache. It can be something like a skin rash (the skin being the largest organ of the human body).

Doctor John explains this in much better language than I can, but the intestinal tract is where the body is absorbing the nutrients needed for ALL cells, and the neurological function is included in that. If you are seeing others in the family with health issues, you might consider that nutrition plays a role. Learning how it affects your health will create a great sense of empowerment in your care, and HOPE to move forward toward healing.
