Good morning! I'm Tracy. I have a six year old son (will be seven on Saturday) who has mitochondrial myopathy and seizures. He started having seizures this past summer. They appear mostly as absence - are generalized in the brain activity and don't fit absence on the EEG pattern. We've been told he could have grand mal as well at any point. He takes neurontin, Zonegran and Lamictal - but still has at least 10 or more seizures daily. I'm praying I can gain some insight to be able to help him from this site. I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Hi and welcome to CWE. As you can see from my signature, I also have a child with seizures among other things.

I hope you enjoy it here.

Hi Tracy :hello: Welcome to CWE! My 7 year old son was recently diagnosed with epilepsy. I know this can be a scary and frustrating time. I too had lots of questions and I spent hours researching, just hoping that I would find something to give us hope. I found what I was looking for through nutrition and alternative treatments. This website has also provided tons of information to us. Make yourself at home and have a look around. We're really glad to have you here :)

Hi Tracy - WELCOME
My daughter started having tonic clonic seizures at the age of 14. Pretty scary stuff.
I have learned more than what I wanted, however it has helped me to understand enough to be able to move in the direction of seizure control.

Nutritional understanding, supplemental support and neurofeedback have been helping us see the light at the end of a very dark tunnel.
