Hello everyone, just introducing myself, Eddy, my son now 19, suffers partial complex seizures and the medication is not controlling them effectively, so I came accross someone who recomended neurofeedback.
We have been at the Cleveland Clinic, Miami Children's and several other doctors, he is not a surgery candidate either.
Does anyone now statistic results for seizure control with biofeedback or neurofeedbak?

Welcome mirikiersz

Here's a chart with a number of alternative treatments & some statistics on them. http://www.coping-with-epilepsy.com/index.php?p=alternative-treatments

There's also at least one other parent who is using Neurofeedback for her child. You can read about their experience in the "history Book" in "the library".

It'd be great if you could document your experience with neurofeedback in the "history book" as well. The more experiences that can be documented the more information people will have to learn about it.

Hi mirikiersz, welcome to the forum. :hello:

Neurofeedback is a specialized form of biofeedback - using EEG readings for the feedback loop (as opposed to blood pressure, heart rate, etc.).

There are a number of threads here on neurofeedback, including several member experiences posted in the History Book forum.

The Sterman study meta analysis mentioned on the neurofeedback page in the chart is old and encompasses studies mostly using the SMR entrainment method. There appears to be an even more effective "QEEG guided" technique developed by Dr. Walker in Dallas.

I highly recommend neurofeedback if you can afford it (if your insurance covers it, all the better).
