Agh...what do I ask my doctor about my seizures? Like do I ask for more tests to get done? My seizures have gotten way worse and I am getting desperate for answers!

How long have you been seeing your Dr?

If you seizures are getting worse and this is the Dr. that has not been helping you, I would look for another Neur.

I no Dr. but it sounds to me like you need to be on meds. so that your seizures done continue to get worse.

You need to have a discussion with your doctors about treatment. If your symptoms are accelerating, let them know. If your EEGs have come up negative, that doesn't necessarily rule out epilepsy, and a good neurologist should be able to make at least a trial diagnosis on the basis of your symptoms alone. Ask about trying and anti-seizure med at a low dose to see if there is any improvement in your symptoms.

I am working on seeing my GP when he gets back in town. I'll probably have to go to Des Moines where I saw a neurologist before. I have only had one EEG and saw the neurologist once so far its like they don't care since that one EEG I had was negative.

I hope that is not the situation, it not unusual for EEG to come back normal. All the EEG and MRI The diff. Neur. ordered done were all normal. It was when I went to Emory a teaching hospital that the cause of my seizures was found in 2004.

Wow I just really hope they can give me something. Some sort of answer besides "Yea you have seizures."
