Some days it just drives me crazy. Today is one of those days. I've eaten very little because of it. I've heard Prilosec can lower your seizure threshold I chew a lot of Tums. Any suggestions on how to curb this heart burn?

Chamomile tea and almost burnt toast. Those have helped my stomach ulcers anyway and I think the acid that causes ulcers comes up to cause a acid reflux? Also a lot of water. Good luck.

I was prescribed a prescription antacid and was dx'd with mild gerd in December 2011. I havnt taken the medication since June 2012. But Ive learned to just watch what I eat, and also stress can bother my heartburn too. But as far as it affecting my seizures, it didnt cause more seizures to come about.

Do you take valproaic acid? I did and it gave me the most painful heartburn of my life...

tums is only an issue b/c it can affect the metabolization if it's taken within two hours, before or after, of a medication.

my bf gets bad reflux and his solution has always been eno.

mine for heartburn is tums and stong mint gum, as many pieces as it takes. he's tried gum for his reflux and says it makes a big difference.

I usually don't take tums around med time. I had heard that too. I love watermelon but I hate belching it later!

grab a bunch of strong mint gum. works man.

1 to 2 tablespoons of apple cidar vinegar in a half to 8 oz. glass of gingerale. Work within 5 to 10 min.
