I transitioned to this from another board. Nice to see some of the users from there on here!

I have epilepsy education and training from the school of life. Mine started in 1981 at age 5 from a brain tumor left hemisphere of the brain. Pretty much name the drug and I have been on it...12 meds over the years. Four years ago they did brain surgery and got rid of my seizures... This is the VERY abbreviated version of my story!

Ask away. I have had experiences good and bad with the medications, as well as both with doctors over the years. As a result I try to educate myself as much as possible.

Waiting to get to know y'all and this board.

Hi Travis,

Welcome to cwe this is a great forum and even though I have been here just a few days everyone has been so kind and very helpful to me and I've made a lot of new friends.
If I may ask have you ever tried the medical marijuana since I'm drug resistant I may be trying that this summer if not before. I wish you only the best and May God Bless You!

Welcome, Travis! I'm enjoying browsing the forums this weekend. Hope you like it here.

I finally have a little time to get use to using this sight. Some names look familiar and others I am sure I will get to know soon! I have a feeling that we will wish we knew of this sight earlier! :hugs:

Hello

I was told by a dear friend from another place about this one. Happy to find a group to hear about. I started having epilepsy when I was 10, which was around 50 years ago. Then back in 2009, my dreams were answered. I had surgery, since then I have not had one. How I wish everybody would have the same chance as I did.

I have happily been married to the same DH for 42 years. We have 2 Children and 5 grandkids. Our 6th one has gone to heaven, we lost here to Sids when she was 9 weeks old. If alive today she would be 17.

I am very active in church, spoiling these grandkids, Briana 21, Dwayne 18, Sabrina 14, Belle 13, and Robert 10.

My thoughts and prayers are coming your way.

Yeah, you figured it out Seagull! Knock 'em ovah! Think New England, rather than the Deep South. :)
