Nah I havent heard from them yet but I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I'm off my current job at the moment on annual leave, I'd love to go back and hand in my notice! If I haven't heard anything by about Wednesday I'm going to email them and see if I'm going to get anywhere. It would be nice if companies acknowledged applications so I know they actually got it ok.

TELL me about it, I had a "friend" text and ask what I've been up to, and when I truthfully answered (seizures, hospitals, doc visits), then asked how he was doing in return, I got no reply. Ooook then screw it from now on I'm lying!

Ooooh, 2 ways to look at that mela. The privacy/lying thing is comforting 'cuz then you can control who knows what, and that always feels good in any situation... but... being honest is how you find out who your true friends are. Especially in a situation like this where you're scared and need support.
If they react in such a way where you don't hear back from them, be positive about it and pat yourself on the back for weeding out a shitty friend.

You're

right on the money there, qtown! I can't agree with you more. Weeding out friends is painful, but sometimes necessary...*sigh*

I had an interview for the vets job! They called me yesterday and I've just got back from the interview. Apparently they had over 200 cvs sent in and had to pick ten people out of that to interview. Just shows how bad the job market is at the moment. So basically I now have a 1 in 10 chance of getting the job, will find out on Monday or Tuesday :)

Some people can be so shallow. I've learned not to volunteer too much information unless it's someone close to me. But you know, if we do honestly share with people how we are doing atleast we have the integrity of being an honest person.

That's awesome! Wow 1 of the 200 applicants and 1 of the 10 people to get interviewed. That's amazing. Hope you get it.
