I started having seizures where I am conscious. Well, in the past it was always, wake up later. maybe a few days. maybe in hospital. But had 2 yesterday and was aware the whole time. Its just like body shaking so strong and I can not stop it. It's also frightening as hell. I tried to walk to the next room (because, as always I become way too hot, crave cooler area) but while trying to walk I fall alover the place; bashing into walls/ knocking everything off tables etc. I fall over and can not get up at all. I fight it with all my strength but usually can not even get up on my knees.

I am not conscious once the seizure starts but like you I crave cooler places.

Actually it depends on what kind of seizure I have, I'm conscious during simple partial, focal seizures.I'm not conscious during tonic-clonic and absence seizure.:twocents:

Hi, Janus!
Nice to see you back :)
My seizures are all at night so my conciousness is in a sense impaired to begin with. During at least some seizures, though, I am slightly woken up by them and often will have a brief and vague sense of what is happening. My seizure types are tonic, myoclonic and partial. Although tonic and myoclonic are all considered generalized seizures, conciousness is not necessarily lost which may account for why I have some awareness of these many times. Clonic seizures are also generalized, but I don't believe conciousness is lost and often there are no significant after effects. It sort of sounds like what you are experiencing could be clonic seizures, as rare as these are. Definitely contact your neurologist and let him/her know of this new type of event or seizure. I hope you keep us posted as to what this turns out to be.

Yeah, it depends on the seizure. My "normal" focal seizure I am completely aware throughout the (very brief) seizure period. When I had a tonic clonic, I don't remember any of it except for the weird dreams that I had. Not sure if the dreams were during the seizure or after.

I'm totally out during mine. Sometimes I have a vague weird or nauseous feeling beforehand but then the next thing I know I'm waking up at a hospital or on the ground. That sounds really scary!

Same here.

When I have a complex partial I won't remember a thing about it but at times the day after the seizure happened my husband will tell me things that I'd done before it, when I'm probably having a simple partial, and after the seizure, when I'm probably starting to come to, I'll sort of remember those.
