Hi--
I need some advice on getting through the tough times with AEDs. Many days I wake up wonderfully and by the end of the day will have gone through the ups and downs of medicine. Any advice as I sometimes break down out of sheer frustration. Granted, I know I can't control everything, but it's surely a downer!!!

Make sure you eat well and rest well. It seems thats a huge help in starting the day off well. Pace yourself during the day. Take walks outside. For some reason fresh air and walking just seem to make everything better. Also remember to look around and appreciate the small things.

I hope that helps a lil bit and that you have a good day*.

I set alarms on my cell phone, watches, and take meds at exactly the same time every day. That's probably what they did in a lab while researching this stuff.

I also walk a lot outside with my dog. She's an active border collie and needs to also vent. She's extremely sensitive as well. Walking is a great stress buster. I resolved so many problems by taking that walk.

Here's a CHEAT CODE!

I am a work-a-holic *blush* and one of my
weakness is overdoing everything (and which
pushes my seizure threshold UP)!

Learn to PLAN everything accordingly and try not
to do so much in one sitting. Since I am now
currently not in so wonderful health, I've slowed
down tremendously, however, I still get things
done; but I get myself exhausted - until my
Primary told me to "take breaks" - in other words
do this, take a break, return to do it, take a break,
and so on. While yes, it is slow going - and I do
take naps, but the work DOES get done.

Instead of "lumping everything" - stretch it all out.
I have learned from my computer calendar - by
having it set up, where I do this on this day and
that on that day so I am not all drained out - and
yes, there are days (and I feel bad about it) where
I just cannot do anything, so it's skipped.

So don't be so hard on yourself, which is important!
The basic stuff, learn to do it right away - like when
you make dinner, instead of putting dishes in the sink,
wash it right away, and that's one job that is done
and less stress and worry there (plus no room for any
insects too) and if you have a dishwasher - then wash
the plates and scrub it and set it accordingly (if you
live alone) so once it becomes full - you can run it.
