Hmmmm.... may I?
It would be more 'correct' if the comments provided were exclusive to your own personal experiences and/or fact when offering advice.

"Bottom line is, the seizure is not such a bad thing."
I personally took great offense to this, and many on here will agree, as seizures have destroyed so much of my life. Seizures scare me, have taken away my independence, put me on medication for the rest of my life, and are causing possible brain surgery.
It would be better to put "...for me the seizure is not such a bad thing."

"And when the seizure is over you actually get a good feeling."
That is your experience, not 'how' a complex partial works for everyone. To inform someone that this is what happens is untruthful, that's just what's happening for you.

..."well the side effects are nasty. You lose your memory, you live in a clouded world."
Again, this is different for everyone. I've been on three meds and have never lived in a clouded world nor found them 'nasty.' Sure there's been an adjustment period, and there is for everyone, some you can stay on some you can't, but that's just it... it's different for EVERYONE. If that's the way it's been for you it's more appropriate to say just that.

Opinions and the like are of course welcome, and I know I give my fair share of mine, but I responded to this because I really did find it offensive that you seemed to answer for everyone with epilepsy about what it's like. This is so not the case so please if you don't mind, keep your comments strictly to personal experiences or feelings. Thanks.

I'm trying to be useful here and answer the question, even if it's an old post. I stated many times that it was how I experienced things. I do not talk on the behalf of anyone else having complex partials. I'm sorry if it was offending to you, but I still stand by what I said.

Anyways what I'm trying to say is: When you get used to your seizures, they start being somewhat comforting.

The way you post tells someone who's asking for info what seizures are like in general, NOT what they're like for you. Maybe reread it again and I'm sure you'll agree. Please say, "When 'I' get used to my seizures they start being comforting."

It's important to be sure you're speaking for yourself because as I said before, there aren't going to be many who agree with your statements re: epilepsy.

Oh my gosh Keaze..that is full on!!!!
I had three a day..and I thought that was horrible to have! :( (have you had surgery?)

But to answer your question from my experience...

I never knew when I had a seizure, full loss of conciousness..I would only know because I would do really odd things like TEXT someone : I love you.....or change all my passwords....
and ofcourse, my bladder would give in aswell :(

the only thing I feel is waking up from it...thinking a bit of time was missing....and thinking...how did I get from there..to here....

Its quite odd..but I dont feel the actual seizure...its just NOTHING.
