For years, I took Lamotrigine and Clobazam. I have taken them for maybe 5 years; I had tried Keppra this year which failed and then Zarontin this summer. I am allergic to Valproic acid since a doctor put me on it too quick.
Okay, so on July 21st I started Zarontin and it made me hear voices, see things that weren't there totally freaking me out. It also made me have new seizures and more seizures; I lost count. I got off the medication a month ago today and I am still having more seizures. I now move my teeth back and forth (not on my own will) and get scared or my shoulder will twitch.
I never had this problem before; someone said that medication can randomly just stop working within a day. I take 4 Clobazam and 4 Lamotrigine so 8 pills a day.
It is like a chewing motion which I never do. Can Zarontin still be in my system? I took the lowest dose which was at 250 mg but took it twice a day.
I saw the biggest withdrawl effect is seizures.
Is it possible it is in my body still or have my Clobazam just stopped working?
I had a sleep deprived EEG last Monday but I feel so lost; I can't find any information on this pill and how long it can be in the system :/ can someone tell me if they have had an experince with Zarontin and how long it can be within the body?
I see my doctor Tuesday to discuss the results. I'm scared, can medication truly stop working in a day?:brain:
