Back in 1993 I started with the tonic-clonic which I had until 2010. Then changed into the complex partial where now i'll have less seizures and only when sleeping.
Only bad part about this change is when I do have seizures in my sleep, i'll usually vomit for the rest of the day. :(

I have several types of epilepsy.

I have focal, T/C's, status etc.

I have simple and complex partials and sometimes tonic clonic.

When I was first diagnosed, 12 years ago, I was having a seizure almost every day. Now I have on average 7 a month.

Before being diagnosed with E, mine started out as SP. But it took a major TC and a major accident plus a two-month hospital stay before I was correctly diagnosed. So for the past 30+ years I've had SP, CP, and TC seizures. Fortunately, the TCs seem to have abated, for now, anyway.

I have tonic clonics for sure and probably complex partials too. I've only ever had the tonic clonics get the most attention, from both my father, sisters and drs, but my nieces and nephews will describe to me what I do when they see a seizure, and they sometimes tend to match complex partial description.
