I just have a question for you guys. How many seizures do you think is ok to have before contacting your neuro? I know no meds can completely stop all seizures and i dont want to be any more druged than I already am . I'm already taking 5 different meds a day ,just one for seizures.I;ve had a seizure every night for three days and last week i had all kinds of issues.I'm just so tired.

I'd be

calling. There's no need to be seizing everyday, Horsehead. I take four types of E meds a day, plus.......oh, I forget how many others. I've lost count.

Get on the phone. It's time to adjust your meds, and/or be seen, possibly have a longgggg EEG done.

Take care!

PS. Are you getting enough sleep, and following a decent sleep routine?

No I dont sleep well. It takes several hours for me to fall asleep. this is after tossing and turning and rocking my body ,which I've had to do all my life.I'm also having a problem with my bladder and going to the bathroom at least 5 times per night if not more.Once I do fall asleep and normally when i'm dreaming the seizure wakes me.

My neuro told me if I have one seizure, call him immediately! I had two in two days back in May and called him and he upped my meds and so far no seizures since. I had trouble sleeping too, but started seeing pain management doc for pain issues and he gave me some muscle relaxers that has really done the trick and I am sleeping very well. It's a vivious circle...if I don't sleep, it triggers seizures. I do think the increased seizures meds in combination of my pain meds have helped me a lot. I do have to say, my seizures on a lot less and milder than a lot on here....but my neuro says not to discount that...a seizure is a seizure.
Best of luck...please call your neuro today!

OK, that's

it. I will post a copy of "SLEEP HYGIENE" things that my neurologist gave me the other day.

In the meantime, do talk to your doctor about getting up to go to the bathroom during the middle of the night. Once, twice, OK. Five times---NOT COOL.

Look for the other post in about, 30 minutes to an hour. I need to eat something.

But DO call your neuro!!

And jgb and my neuro have something in common--have ONE seizure, YOU CALL. No ifs, ands or buts about it.

Back in a few.

I'm taking a med for the bladder issue. I was going to the bathroom up to 7 times an hour.I'm supposed to see a urologist soon.

going to see the neuro on tuesday . I'm getting my keppra levels tested and another eeg done.

Great -- I hope all goes well for you there, and that your seizures get under control. Don't know if this would be useful for you, but whenever I visit my neuro, I bring written questions, and I also write down a record of what was said.

Best,
Nakamova

Well the EEG showed nothing. They want to do a 24 hour video eeg now. There is a long waiting list so I dont know when that will be done. They put me on clonazepam .Anyone else take that? i thought I was tired before.

Frustrating about the eeg, and the delay fro the next one. I hope the clonazepam works for you in the meantime. I haven't tried it myself, but maybe someone else will chime in, or you can do a search on the site and see what comes up.

BTW, I love your collie picture!

Yes, I'm

on clonazepam...it's one of the 4 that I use. It's the generic for Klonopin. I'm only using a low dose...... .5mg am and pm, and yes, that added with melatonin (my body doesn't make any) I sleep quite well.
