Hi everyone!

I received an invitation to apply for honours from my uni this week, based on my grades so far. I finish my BA in psychology and counselling in a few weeks time. Initially I didn't think I was ready for honours, especially because it has a lot of statistics in it and it sounds really tough. But then I thought about it and realised, hey, I've managed to complete a 3 year degree in 4 years with everything that's been going on, why not?

So fingers crossed I get in. I have a professor who is willing to supervise me and I will be able to study the relationship between humans and animals! I'm thinking prison rehab dogs, or therapy dogs. I'd love to do seizure dogs but I actually need people to study, and i'm not sure how many of these dogs there are in WA.

Wish me luck!

Hi Wobblez,
Thats great news, wishing you the best of luck & have all my fingers crossed for you :)

Thanks CQ;) Lets hope the sudden cluster of 8 seizures that happened about a month ago doesn't become a habit!

How are you?

I hope that cluster of seizures was a 1 of.
Are you on any epilepsy meds?

I'm going really well, been working FT for a month & loving it :).
I keep telling people it really is the dream job for me because not only is it full time but it is a job i love with a great environment so very minimal stress.

We did get some bad news last week though, my cousin (on my Dads side) passed away last week. My cousin lived down this way so most of his family are down from QLD. 2 of my brothers & their wifes who are also from QLD are down for the funeral, problem is we still aren't sure when the funeral is.

Sorry to hear about your cousin CQ, :( Its never nice when these things happen, especially when you have the added stress of logistics for the family and all the arrangements. Best wishes for a lovely funeral (you know what I mean).

No I'm not currently on any epilepsy meds, not since they took me off the Lamictal for the 2 Wk EEG. I'm currently trialling my second anti depressant. I'm not convinced it's completely psychological but hey, if it works then it works! It's hard to tell though because my seizures are relatively infrequent or sporadic anyway.

Thanks Wobblez,
None of the family is staying with me, my cousins family are staying with his ex partner & their kids. My 2 brothers & their wifes are staying with my parents.

I thought you may have been of all anti epilepsy meds but I thought maybe they might've put you back on something after your cluster (although they thought they were psychogenic seizures didn't they?)

Hey Wobblez,

Congrats on going for honours! College can be really tough and stressful even if you're 100% healthy, so extra pats on the back for your accomplishments.
