This is a lovely little place in the South West of England, called Cornwall. The particular place we stayed was Crantock Bay.

This is the two dogs, Benji and Blue...Benji is the one on the left (my dog), Blue is the one on the right (my Sisters dog)...

I hope you enjoyed the pics

I enjoyed them a lot. Thanks for sharing.
I hope I get another visit to England in the future. I have been lucky enough to go three times, and enjoyed each visit. I have yet to spend time in the coastal areas though.

Hope it was a great vacation.

Great pics tee tee. Your dogs are cute, are they both spaniels?

It looks like a nice place where you stayed :)

What a beautiful place. Someday I want to go to England as my ancestors came from there. We even found a book written about them called the Ipswitch Emersons.

BEAUTIFUL PICS, Tee Tees!!

I love 'em!

My boys just came back from England on the 6th.....

The beaches are beautiful, I didn't realize the English beaches were quite as beautiful as they are......WOW. Makes me want to come for a visit now....And the dogs are quite cute, too. Hehehe. That's something coming from me, I don't like dogs!

if you have any more pics, put them up! I'd love to see them!

Awesome pics TT!
Looked like y'all had fun!

That's a beautiful place and very nice photos.
I'd live to spend a week there! It looks so peaceful. Is the water so cold you need a wet suit?

Thanks guys.....here's a few more....

Birdy....the water was f-f-f-freezing. Believe me...I could only stand in in for a few minutes (foot height) as my feet were starting to turn blue <brrrrrrr>. I think the offshore breeze didn't help that matter though. Apart from that - out of the water it was real hot (for over here)....must've hit the low 80's

Anyway, as requested :

great pics tees

Thanks for sharing this different view of England. Having never been to Europe, my stereotype images are mostly of London type scenes. To me Cornwall brought more historic images. These pics give me a much more realistic view.

Love the dogs as well. Is Blue a setter? My elderly neighbors had an English Setter that looked a lot like that when I was very young. That was such a nice dog for a little kid. We had border collie mixes.

Those wide sand flats look like this area may have a significant tide difference. Is that true?

Glad you had a great weekend.

Next spring, my friends and I are going to Europe and tour a few different countries. (We have some German friends) but Cornwall, England wasn't on the list of places....I must make it one... :ponder:

Cornwall does seem more stuck in a different 'time-zone' to other places....even their shops seem quite dated. Still, it's a lovely place, and should be going back again in October for another long weekend.

Blue is a Cocker Spaniel, and Benji is a Cavalier King-Charles Spaniel. Benji was 10 in January this year, so he's actually the older, more wiser one. Blue is still a nutter who just likes to bark <aaargh>....drives you nuts when you're looking for a peaceful time on the beach.

As for the sand flats, you're right - the tide comes all the way in, and creates a kind of 'river' on the left side (looking inland). Makes it alot more scenic in the mornings when the water's in.

All in all the weekend went pretty well, although the sz demon had to rise it's ugly head on the last day !!....damn those demons !! Still, didn't do too bad considering the rest of the weekend.

Germany is a lot like Washington state, England is the best place in the world to meet different types of people. Those are wonderful pictures. Brought me back there. You can always take a train and travel. The countries are so close together. That's what I did.I have family there to.

Wow beautiful photos TeeTee!
Hope you had a great time.
Ive never been to England would love to go there, lots of relatives there.
My parents are from there i was born Australia.

Your dog is so cute!

Wonderful wonderful pics.
I would love to spend a year traveling around England. Got to the Cotswalds on the last visit. Tell me though in the 8th photo, is that Big Brother watching the beach? What is with the camera on the post?

I have been looking at C.K.C. Spaniel for Rebecca. I find them to be one of the sweetest animals. Could they be trained to be helpful during a seizure? Your Benji is very cute.

Thanks Robin

I'd presume the camera is to help the Coastguards and Lifeboats should there be any offshore incidents.

I'm not sure about the CKC Spaniel being trained for seizure alerts, etc. I don't think Benji realises when I've had a sz, or knows when one is gonna happen.....but the poor soul has them himself (CKCS's are know for it). This is the 2nd one we've had, and both off them have had sz's.
