Oh my goodness... I just got a letter back from the council tax and housing people. They're going to pay nearly all my rent and council tax for me. Good thing I was sitting down when I read the letter! I was expecting maybe a small amount towards it :O

Got everything in the flat now, but the unpacking of boxes seems to be never-ending lol. The kitchen, bathroom and my bedroom are sorted now (i dont think anyone had been living here for quite a while before me, a lot of cleaning to do) but I have stacks of boxes and bags in the living room and spare room.

Such great news Lou! And you deserve it. This flat sounds like such a terrific thing. unpacking IS never-ending but it must feel pretty great to be starting out new with your own things in your own place.

Yeah, its hard work but I feel it will be worth it. Sitting down with a brew (cup of tea) at the moment, got to head round to parents and then can come back to my own place. Woot!

I still can't quite believe it lol. My granny is over from Ireland, she came up to see it today. Obviously there's still boxes and stuff around, hopefully if she comes around again i'll at least have all the boxes out of the living room.

I'm working loads this week so i can't imagine i'll get too much done in there though.

As long as you can make it to the refrigerator, the bathroom, and the bed, there's no rush on getting everything set up...

Hey, Lou. Last time I moved I had pretty realistic goals for those boxes. At least two boxes unpacked a week. Doable. I did the most important ones first, and didn't sweat the rest. I think I didn't cook a meal for a couple of months because my pans and plates were in a box, lol.....

So no worries how many are unpacked. Just do a little bit every day and you'll get there.
