The last time I had my first TC my dr insists that it wasn't one, though I'm (and most of you agree) that it WAS a TC. I do suffer from PC that are completely controlled by medication. My dr insisted they were something else, but advised me to stop drinking alcohol (I had had a couple beers that night) anyways.
Well, yesterday was my baby sister's wedding and I had a couple drinks. By the time I got home at around midnight I wasn't even drunk anymore. I had a glass of wine when we got home and, JUST like last time, I felt like I was going to throw up so I walked towards the bathroom and that's the last thing I remember. My husband had been putting something away in our bathroom when he heard a thud and came running. He said I passed out right when I got into the bathroom and fell on my back but my feet/legs were pointing toward my head. Then I let out this loud "grunt" noise and stiffened up really hard and arched my back about 9-12" off the ground and my eyes rolled to the side (each eye to a different side) to where you could only see the whites. I also completely stopped breathing. He said the seizure lasted about 2 minutes or so. Once it was over, I regained breathing, but stayed unresponsive for a LONG time. I remember hearing him talk to me, checking my pulse, etc, but couldn't open my eyes or respond. I'm not sure how long it took, but eventually I would grunt at him, then finally talk. He managed to get me into bed where I fell asleep. He said he almost called 911, and I told him he probably should have b/c I've never had a seizure like that or that big before.
I'm pretty sure it was a TC, but what do you think? I don't remember anything, as I shouldn't. I remember walking towards the bathroom but I don't remember getting there or anything after that. I do remember thinking "why is he checking my pulse??" lol I still feel pretty crappy, and am contemplating going to work tomorrow. I have quite the goose egg on the back of my head from fainting. It really hurts. Luckily nothing worse happened, though.
I'm going to call my doctor in the morning to explain what happened. Hopefully he agrees this time that it IS a TC. Alcohol will be completely out for me from now on.
