Also, i'm glad i'm not the only one up at this ridiculous hour lol. There's usually only one 7 o clock in my day and it's not the morning! :roflmao:

i work for boots pharmacy and started my career off in lloyds pharmacy and that was when i was 16 ...which was 7 years ago now... wow time flys :P
its such a interesting job and you always learn something new everyday ....
..... you also learn alot of things about drugs that the drs dont tell you !!!!

hahaha !! im always up fairly early .. i struggle with sleep due to seizures :( ... so i too never normally see people online at this time either ... are you in the UK ?

Yeah i'm in Blackpool (Lancashire). I've been trying to get in at Boots for ages but they never have any openings. I've even been trying just to get any shop job in there, then get onto the healthcare counter then to the pharmacy lol. I asked the pharmacist in there and she said thats the way it normally works. I've been out of work for over a month now and it's flown by but i really need to get back to work now. Even though the dole is more than my wages were when i was working ¬.¬

I have the opposite problem with sleep, i sleep like 12-18 hours a day, currently being investigated for a sleep disorder too, joy! Mind you i slept most of yesterday cos i had such a bad day with partials, that maybe why i'm up so early.

boots normally post there job openings online :) ...
you could always write to the store manager and explain that you would like to start a career off within pharmacy and if they would consider any future openings for you ...

i wish i could sleep that much ... before i was diagnosed with my underactive thyroid and before i had my seizures i was sleeping like that all the time :P

Yeah i've had loads of people say they wish they could sleep like me, but it's over rated. Having had insomnia before too when i was on Vimpat i can honestly say that insomnia and somnolence are both just as harmful lol. You know what the NHS is like though, i have to wait forever for an appointment! After ruling out sleep apnoea back in august i now have to wait til january >.<

I had the same thing happen with a job I was in from 2002 - 2004. By the time I had left I had my hours cut back a bit & when I was made redundant & went back on the dole I actually got more on the dole then I did working at this place.

It's so silly isn't it? Mind you, i get a fair bit extra on the dole because i'm registered as disabled, otherwise it would only be £71 a week :O

Is that £71 the full dole?
I have to see if I can work out how to convert that to Aussie money but that doesnt sound like a lot of money.
Because I had been getting the casual work since May I hadn't been getting a full dole since June. My next pay I should get the full dole, I'm not sure how much it is now but think it's about $520 fortnight but in that money is rent assistance (money to help because rent)

Ok, not sure if I got it right but think your £71 is $109.97 so thats approx $220 aussie money a fortnight. tahts not a lot fo money to survive.

Can also get upto £56 (86 aus) on rent though, but considering most flats etc go for at least £80 (123 aus) a week for a bedsit (all in one room) thats not great. Again, luckily i get the full amount for my flat and i have a two bed flat. I'm allowed to get paid for the extra bedroom in case i need to have someone stay over to keep an eye on me.

I think over here Centrelink calculates how much your rent costs then gives you so much extra in your dole to help with rent.

The system here can be very difficult to work out. I think they do it so many people don't claim what they're entitled to because they don't know they may be entitled to it. Hence saving the government money lol.

Thanks guys, i've fired off a few more applications too, so fingers crossed :D
