It's times like this, where I wish we can just pick up this house and move it!

We have had to deal with our neighbors issues since June! Talk about wanting to just get these people out of our neighborhood! They rent the home next to us, and dont give a damn about what it looks like, or what their neighbors yards look like.

We find out last night after returning from doing alittle shopping, that on our security camera, we see the neighbor's friend, drive over our landscape we have on the side of our home. Their home and our home are side by side, our drive way areas are next to each other. Instead of backing out of their drive way area, which in the back, leads to a alley, they decide to pull forward, driving over our landscape, and wood, then pulling out of our drive way area. :soap: I was in total shock when I saw this on the video! I even called our local police about it and they said it would be considered a civil manner if no damage was done. Im just so sick of these people. If its not having any respect for their house they are renting, they have no respect for their neighbor's! So to get back at them... we are putting up some orange drive way 48 inch reflectors that my husband is going to install today after he gets home from work. We have a wooden edging around the landscape area, that he is going to drill the long reflectors in. That way if they try to do this again and were not home, they would have to run over these, damaging them, and their car, which the police said would result in a ticket. I found them online here for $2 a piece. So my husband went to get 4 of them. We plan to spread them out evenly in the area where they ran over. If they do try to do this again, they will snap right in half. I just want these people to have some respect! Which I dont think will ever happen!

Kristin,

Maybe your neighbors will run over the reflectors and damage their car, but then who knows, they may take revenge and go ballistic! Please be careful. I wish you could move away from these disrespectful jerks, too, especially now with the holidays approaching.

How frustrating. It's amazing how utterly thoughtless some folks can be.

If they go ballistic and take revenge, we have three security cameras that will catch it all. We installed the cameras after their son assulted our son in June of this year. When they saw us putting up the cameras which was recommended by the police when we reported the assult, they got angry. I think they thought they were "fake cameras". But when they were approached by the police for harrassing us, and playing loud offensive music, which the police saw on our cameras, they told them straight out that the cameras we installed has audio and they all can pick up every move and hear what they say. Instead of giving them warnings like they were for months prior, the were told if anything more were to come about, tickets would be handed out from now on. So if they do something stupid, we have our cameras to catch it all. By putting these up, they will still be on our property, but if they try to run over that area again, they will for sure damage the reflectors, which will result in the police having to be called. Makes me feel better knowing they wont be able to get away with doing it again, without having to talk to the police.

Oh man, I thought since I hadn't seen you post about the neighbors that maybe things got better. :(

I wish Cathy! Since then, we've been going about our own business... but we see they have been having car issues. Yesterday the mother got mad when she was on her way to take the kids to school. The husband had a friend stop by about an hour before they left for school to jump the car. It started, but then right as they were about to leave, it died. The whole time I was outside scrapping the frost off the windsheild, she was giving me dirty looks. I totally ignored her. She;s just not worth any of my time. After all the crap they have done and said, the last thing Im going to do is get anywhere near those people! I just want them to see that its not right for them to do what they did. God only knows if even after we put these up, which will be about 3 feet high after they are installed, if they still will attempt to drive over our landscape!

I'd invest in a really big privacy fence, but still have the cameras able to see over the fence. If they can still manage to terrorize you after that then they really go out of the way to be senseless.

We actually have a wooden privacy fence. Its weird you say this now, because my husband is actually adjusting the camera we have on the side of the house to look over the fence! :roflmao:

Here's a picture of our backyard... its pretty big for the size of house we have! LOL This picture was taken 4 years ago when we just put the fence up. But you get the idea! :) This is a view of the back, looking towards the alley that is behind our house. To the right is where the neighbors are. But we put a camera facing the other direction towards our drive way and side of the home.
