I think early this morning I woke up, kind of, unable to move, I couldn't breath, I felt really freaked out, kind of like a horrible night mare, but I was partially awake. I woke up a little later I believe, I felt scared, able to get up but have a heavy chest and major headache and am exhausted. I have had a few seizures in the past I am taking Lamictal now and I think it has been working, but was last night/this morning a seizure? Or something else? I have had seizures in my sleep, but I am usually not aware.

Hi Bridge, sorry to hear of your nocturnal seizure :( a lot of us have them too and effect us in different ways. Most of my seizures are nocturnal and I know the feeling that you are describing. You may want to let your doctor know in case s/he wants to do a med adjustment.

it sounds a bit like sleep paralysis, where you are awake but your body isn't. it can happen to anybody but if you are really worried talk to your doctor

I was thinking it may have been a seizure, since I felt the headache, body pains, and such. But I also ended up getting sick to my stomach. I don't know, I came home form work and layed in bed the rest of the day and all night, sleeping on and off. That felt great. I do always get sick with a bad headache and body aches too, but I haven't ever gotten sick from them after a seizure. Has anyone else gotten sick to their stomach?? OR maybe is this the flu? I don't know, it just felt way weird and not normal. I feel much better today, still body aches, but headache mild, thank goodness...

Well I don't really know how long it lasted. I kind of even forgot about it for a sec when I woke up. The entire day I was just sick to my stomach, and head was killin me. I was exhausted. I just remember thinking it was a nightmare. I tried to get up to look at the time I think and couldn't move. I was trying to catch my breath, I think. It felt like I was going to die. I have never felt this before. I have had a few nocturnal grand mal seizures before, but I don't wake up before or during, ever, I never have. I have woken up after, to my husband watching over me. I don't want to say this was a seizure, I am trying to figure out if it was something else. IF it was a seizure, then I may have to switch my meds...

Also, is it possible to start having more partial seizures with certain meds??? I don't think I had them very often before, but I have noticed a bit different feelings since this new medication.
