but I think one of the greatest songs ever is Gershwin "Rhapsody in Blue"

I agree Rhapsody in Blue is awesome. If you ever get a chance to hear a recording of Gershwin himself playing the piano version of it, do!
 
I have heard the Gershwin-piano and it's got a unique zip

but the song overall to me really sums up a lot overall about America -

this summed up a lot of the overall synesthesia I had about the song, prior to seeing this video
