I made a new profile but didn't like how negative I was being so I'm going to delete it (ihatepills). I haven't been around in a couple years I think. Not sure, you know, the whole memory thing. No driving for me, wrecked my car seizing and that takes the keys away for at least 6 months. Was switched over to keppra, which feels pretty crappy but maybe I'll get used to it. Anyone remember me?
 
I don't think you were begin negative, just honest. I hate pills too.

A good rant every once in a while is healthy. Get it out. I'm just pleased the only thing that got wrecked was the car and not you. Cars are easier to fix.

Keppra has had some really mixed reviews around here. Some people think it's great and others feel like poop on a Triscuit when taking it. If you feel like it isn't where you want to be, speak up to your doc.


I've joined since you left so no, I don't remember you. So do you get to welcome me or do I get to welcome you as the n00b? :)

Hey Girl , great to hear from you ! was wondering what happened to you, maybe got with a nice fella or something else good ...
yeah pills suck , and keppra was for me a bad trip so had it changed. sometimes a med will work for one and not so for the other.
it was crazy for me so i was put on lamotrigine which so far has been not too bad.

I did meet a fella a couple years back, but he turned out to be a complete and total asshat so I've been out of the dating scene for a year or so. I decided not to date for now because I really don't want to introduce my kids to anyone else and have things not work out. Also it's hard for a lot of people who don't have epilepsy or know someone with it to understand it. Sometimes when I had a bad day and needed to lay down I was accused of being lazy, or when I was recovering from a seizure and needed extra rest I was being lazy...the list goes on. For a while I didn't have seizures at all, during that time I got super fit and got certified as a personal trainer. I'm not working anymore because I just feel like garbage half the time. I am an online student though so that's something. I'm hoping to talk about some more natural methods with my new neurologist that I will see in a month or two, haven't heard yet when they will be able to get me in for an appointment.

I remember you! Sunds like you've had some ups and downs. If keppra makes things worse --esp. your mood -- let your neuro know.
 
Cool! Sadly I literally don't remember any of you, just that I was a member on the site. I wish I could remember more but that first year or so of seizures/medication really wiped my brain out.
 
its cool, have you looked at your past posts ? maybe their still there.
