Hi Guys

Does anyone feel like just popping in and saying hi? I just had a wobbler in the garden, and woke up in the living room covered in coffee!! It has thrown me a bit as I don't remember getting any warning! I have a nice pair of cream canvas trousers on aswell!! Arrgghh!!!! When will it all end eh folks?! My darling man is home at about 7.15 pm, I am glad, you all probably get days where you feel fine? Then days when you just want your mum and dad!! I had no warning about this, and it's thrown me a wee bit, I'm just so glad Mark is home, he's working tomorrow (Tuesday & Wednesday) night, so if anyone feels like a chat, I'll be here!

I'm off to get dried off and changed, hope you are all ok?

So sorry Elaine!....

You sound like you're in good spirits in spite of it all though.....good for you!

Another day....another dallop (of coffee on the rug :paperbag:)

Hope it gets better for you quick enough!

I have done the coffee trick a few times, I never pick up a hot cup anymore, I always wait for it to cool a bit first.

Funniest drink moment - (apparently) I stood in the middle of Mcdonalds holding a choc milkshake and slowly poured it out, unfortunately it was before 'You Tube' was born otherwise you might have seen it on there.

Hello Elaine!!

So sorry to hear about your bad day. You know we're all here for each other and you can e-mail any time that you just need to talk. I hope the rest of your week is better. As always, you're in my thoughts. ;-)
Sincerely,
Josie

Hello Lady!

Sorry you had another spell! I hope your coffee was cold! You rest up today and feel better. I am glad Mark will be home soon. You take care and I hope and pray you start feeling better!!

Well, rats! That's not good news.
And it sounds - to me and what do I know? - like a seizure instead of an aura.
Would a change in meds help keep the trousers cleaner?
Sometimes changing meds used to help slown down my seizures at least a bit.

Wishing you the best --- sending you love.

Oh goodness Elaine, so sorry to hear about the seizure and the pants! Try making a baking soda/vinegar paste to set on the stain...may help get it out. :)

I've never had coffee get on my clothes; although, I have wasted cereal all over myself on multiple occasions! I once spilled the cereal and then sat in it during the seizure! I had Fruit Loops all over my behind! :roflmao:

Hugs to you. Hopefully, no more seizures for you (especially without a warning). :ponder: Those kind often throw me off as well when I have them.

Take care. -Julie :e:

Hi All

I'm still feeling a bit wobbly today, but I just read Crazy Monkey's experience with chocolate milkshake. It reminded me of what I did a few years back.

I got taken to McDonalds one lunchtime, I was at work, and one of my suppliers picked me up, took me down to the local Mcdonalds. I had a strawberry milkshake, and as I was drinking it, I took the lid off and whilst I was in the throes of a Complex Partial seizure, I proceeded to pour it over his head!!! I promise you I am not making this up. We both had nice smart suits on, and I can still see the pink gloop sliding down his face, he knew about my epilepsy and he just sat there in total disbelief. As I gradually came out of it I just looked at him in horror, I sort of knew what had happened, and he looked at me and I'll never forget his words as long as I live he said...."You stupid cow!! What the f--k did you do that for?!" You had to see it to believe it, it was in the footwell of the car, all over the seats, and he was totally plastered in it.

We are still friends, and quite often have a giggle about it whenever I see him.
I have managed to get a job interview this morning aswell, I'll keep you posted, it's to work as a Teaching Assistant with kids with learning difficulties, keep it all crossed for me folks, I so need a job!

Still Smilin

Sorry to hear about the seizures Elaine. I hope you find some solid ground soon.

BTW, it seems that covering yourself in food is a new fashion trend...

Hi Bernard

Thanks as always for your support. I'm going to be telling the guys at Epilepsy Action all about this fantastic website soon. I am so very glad that I came across it, I just wish we all lived in the same town! Hmmmm, that may not be a good idea eh? there might be a lot of milkshake and coffee flying about, and as I used to start stripping off during a seizure, lots of half naked people running around talking gibberish!!! You really do have to laugh at epilepsy don't you? If someone told me I had cancer, then I really would freak out, I think I can deal with my wobblers, but not cancer!!

Keep up the good work!!

Thanks for your reply to my post Elaine. It is nice to talk to people who share similar experiences as no one else seems to get it. I am a bit concerned about the eye thing as I can't find any reference to it or something similar on any of the epilepsy websites I have visited. I can't handle it being unrelated to the epilepsy though - epilepsy, brain aneurysm and some other brain issue?? all unrelated?? I think it really would drive me over the edge. Oh well, I will keep tracking and hopefully the new dosage level will get things straightened out - will keep on an eye on protein intake. At least I haven't poured drinks all over myself or anyone else yet.

Hiya Elaine

Your Mcd's story is a classic, good job it wasn't in a posh restaurant :roflmao:

I have to deal with suppliers on a daily basis, most of the time I would love to chuck something more then a milkshake over their heads, but you are giving me ideas.

If you are planning on building a town for us all, please can you ensure that the half naked people running around are Brad Pitt clones. Thanx

Dear Lady Elaine

Sorry about the sz. That sucks!

 I guess you should have been drinking my coffee instead. Haven't seen the first drop of that spilled.

I hope your interview went well.

Hi Buckeye and Crazy Monkey

Great to hear from you both. The interview Buckeye is Thursday 10.15 am, keep it all crossed for me eh? I hope I don't feel the urge to either strip off during the interview, or throw milk shake over the person interviewing me!! I have started to undress in some strange situations before, once, I was outside the conference room, whilst I might add, there was a meeting of the board of directors going on inside!! Luckily, the MD's secretary managed to get me into her office, just in time! She said, "Ooooh Elaine, you had a lovely pink thong on!" I'll never forget that, she thought it was hilarious!! Looking back, so do I!!

These wobblers sure do suck, but it is much easier to handle when we can chuckle at ourselves. Keep that attitude girl.

thong ... hmmmmmmmm :paperbag:

Buckeye! ... :gob: ;)

Well Elaine, good to know I'm not the only one to undress at work! Unfortunately, I wasn't wearing anything even remotely sexy when it happened... I believe I was in "Granny panties" :roflmao:

Good luck on Thursday! Get a good night's sleep the night before, and let us know how it goes! :)
