I would recommend you go to the ER. This could be a stroke and you wouldn't know without test and when this happens you should be ther fast. Time is of essence. I know. I've had one. I dint realize that's what it was so between waiting time and getting to hospital an hour and half away it was around 5 hours before I saw the ER and the DR. gave me a stern talking to later. After 20 minutes brain cell damage has started. So check it out even if you feel better. This is how I developed epilepsy!

I just read your other post about having been at the ER earlier after a seizure and you refused treatment. Maybe you should have stayed and this is a result.?

hey belinda, I hope you're feeling better today. Anytime there's a dramatic change in symptoms it's a good idea to get in touch with your doctors and/or go to the ER. The prolonged stuttering sounds like a long or intermittent complex partial seizure.

I struggle with words at times. It was not normal for me but these are little infrequent moments which occur when I am frustrated in a certain manner along with being tired. Given the length of time you had this occur please seek medical help and let us know how you are doing.

I had a TIA (mini stroke)

I did go back to the E/R the next day, and I agreed to stay over night.
I had called my neuro's office and he was out of town and spoke with his secretary who talked me into going the E/R.
While I was there they didn't have my Tegretol just the Generic and that caused me to seize that night and the next morning.:ponder:

Belinda, I'm sorry to hear about the TIA. Are you feeling any better today?

Nakamova,
today I have been really sore from were I fell and bruised my ribs.
The doc from the E/R wants me to make an appointment with my neuro who'll be back in town next Monday.
The techs at this hospital need to go back to basic learn what to do when someone has a sz one help me down when I was having a simple partial.

What a nightmare! Sounds like the techs need more education about what to do during a seizure. Can you complain to the management?

I hope you can take it easy over the next few days and start to heal.
