Today is day 5 that Ive been on the Keppra XR at 3000mgs daily.

The past few days have been so busy with my lil sister graduating high school, the kids got out of school for summer vacation, etc. Today I woke up with allergies, of course... but then as the day went on, I noticed I didnt have any of the tingling/numbness I was having all the time through out the days since March when I was taken off all medications, then put back on a lower dose of Keppra.

I had a lazy day today, just being at home, watching some tv, relaxing, then grabbing some groceries and headed back home. I got done putting the groceries away and sat down on the couch and within five minutes it occured to be that I hadnt had any tingling at all! I was like in shock! Nothing was happening like it had been! :banana: I felt like jumping up and down! :roflmao:

Day 5 of being on the Keppra XR at 3000mgs and the one thing that bugged the hell out of me is finally gone! :)

I cant wait to give the update to my dr! They still want me to have the MRI. I might as well get it done before July when our deductable goes back to 0 again! I hope this proves to them that it was the lack of medication that was causing the tingling and numbness to occur!

That's great! I hope things continue to improve.

:woot::woot::woot:

That's sooo cool!!! Yeah for you! Keep it up, and the docs will pay attention! :bigsmile:

Thanks everyone!

I just found out today that when I was in the hospital back in March for my VEEG, there was another girl that my dad knew of, (well he knew her family) and my dad found out today from her family that she went to see my dr too when she was having her VEEG done when I was having mine. Turned out, they couldnt give her any answers as to why she was having these seizures, and so her family took her to another clinic out of state, (I will have to ask my mom where it was again they took her) but they dx'd her there! Apart of me wasnt the least bit shocked. My mom said she would like to take me to where they took her and since they were able to give her answers and treat her with medications, she's been doing great! I told my mom I dont know if our insurance will cover that since its out of state. But she said she was going to look into it!

I hope your insurance will cover a dr. out of state. Check into Denver's UCHSC-Neurosciences.
