It took me a couple of months to realize it because it's through his employer and it comes out of his paycheck...but in July our insurance premiums went up again. It ends up being about an additional $8 a week or $416 a year. I am pretty sure we had an increase last year also.

Anyone else seeing their rates increase?

Every year. I'm self-employed, so it's a big chunk out of my pocket. I've changed providers a few times trying to find the cheapest plan I can get away with.

Our insurance starts all over every year as of July 1st. We have insurance through my husband's work. Prior to July 1, 2012, our insurance premiums each month was over $565 for a family plan. They decided to change insurance companies and got rid of Blue Cross Blue Shield. Now we are with United Health Care. We save $100 each month now on our insurance. Instead of paying the $565, were paying around $460 a month. Which is a big plus for us. It sucks when everything goes up.

Pow! Bam!

I guess I should be thankful our daughter is an adult then or it could/would be higher.

Yep, ours is up over $700, my husb. keeps telling me to drop at least him off it, but he's had 3 surgeries in 2 years so, ah no, we keep paying. And it goes up every year. More expensive when you're over 60. And ours isn't good ins. Our deductibles and copay are very high.
