I'm doing a lot of my own research and trying to figure some things out on my own. One question I keep asking myself...

My first seizure was around 8 or 9 pm, about 2 hours later I had another one. And about 2 hours after that, I had a third.

Is this a cluster, or was it 3 seizures?

From what I'm reading, it sounds like the answer could make a difference in what the doctors perceive about my seizures. But, then again, it could just be what I'm reading?

I haven't, my husband is quick with the ativan. Next time, if we're home, he won't be. He is also going to try to catch a video.

Getting a video should really help. Show that to the doctor and hopefully they can get the ball rolling. Instead of shrugging their shoulders! Best of luck and stay safe.

normally when you define cluster its going into one right after you came out of one with really not much of postictal but im not a neurologists either just personal experience and a lot of it dealing with clusters.

Did you get back to normal between those seizures? Our experience was this. On the day my daughter had a first seizure, she had a TC about 1pm. She remained in a confused state, had another TC about 4pm, and remained confused for the rest of the day.

Our doc classed it as one seizure. Hope this is of some help.

I became completely aware in between the first and second seizures. I remember sitting up and talking with my husband, and my best friend who he called (trying to talk me into going to the ER). After the second one, husband as on the phone with best friend when I finally "came around" and was conscious. I talked to my best friend again, and husband showed me a video of the end of the seizure. And it was the video that convinced me I should go in, because I didn't remember any of what I saw in the vid.

So, that is very helpful, thank you JaneC
