I have read that seizures are very common when hormones are changing but my question is if I was having simple partial seizures as I am awalk and concious of everything that is happening to me my neuro says they only occur in a small part of the brain, so since I seem to be having symtpoms that would stem from 3 diffrent lobes in the brain they arnt seizures???

Temporal symptpoms, the hot flush, stomach feeling and fear feeling detached and the weird bigger and smaller sensations

Paretial the tingling sensations all the sensory stuff

and finally the optical which dont occure all the time but I do get weird visual stuff like flahes blind spots colours so forth, but I have noticed that my right eye is affect all the time now, like its blurry in atleast a little bit of my vision all the time it comes and goes in severity but is always there.

So since a simple partial seems unlikely (tell me if you think he is wrong I havent really found any definate info online to that says anything about it) but it seems it would more likley be hormones or hormones causing some type of very long very weird migraine without pain????

Actually, all those symptoms can come from temporal lobes, so yes a simple partials is a tiny spot of a seizure. Complex partials are a larger area of seizure and generalized seizures are the whole brain

Hey! I have simple partials which are from the occipital, temporal and parietal lobes all at once (on the left hemisphere for me). not many people have it and there's next to no information on it, not even my neurologist knows much about it as hes never seen it before. it could be just the same as mine and not migraine or hormone related but just a weird type of epilepsy.

In March of this year I got to have my very first VEEG done. After being in the hospital for 4 days, on the 5th day I was released, and the seizures I had, were simple partial seizures. I highlited in bold the above words you listed, as those are the same symptoms I have when I have a seizure.

My seizures start out with a feeling of confusion, then a sad feeling rushes over me. My left part of my body, (starting in my left hand and foot) starts to become numb and get a tingling feeling. That feeling spreads up the left side of my body, my head turns to the right side, and my body stiffens. My right part of my body begins to jerk. As the seizure continues, the tingling goes into my face, I recall the roof of my mouth feeling very weird, like a million little needles attacking it, and my whole face area! The seizures last a minute or two and then my body quits the jerking and relaxes. After the seizure is over, my body aches so bad. It feels like I got run over by a truck. During the seizure, I can hear what people are telling me, but due to how bad the seizure is, I cant fight the off the way my body is, being so stiff, so I cant respond back to them til the seizure is over.

It sounds like its a simple partial seizure that youre experiencing.

Thanks for all the replies, I had a sleep deprived eeg today although I didnt have an episode when I was hooked up typical though it always happens for me after I go to have tests done fml lol. The lady doing it said it wounds more like migraines, and because the symtpoms seem to vary and not be the same all the time and since it has gone from affecting my right side to the upper part of my body along with the fact that some of the symptoms such as the blurry right eye, weakness in two fingers on each hand and the tingling that can sometimes last for hours it seems more likley to be something other than seizures, anyone have any thoughts on this???? Im pretty confused right about now.

Wow, I didn't know my whole brain was affected...my diagnosis is generalized seizure disorder. I knew they spread, but I didn't realize they encompassed my entire brain. That's pretty scary! Thanks for clarifying that for me though. I asked my neuro, but she never really explained it that simply.
