When I have seizures I wouldn't know it was coming on or when I was having it. I would just compelety black out and after a few minutes I would "wake up". Usually I didn't even know that I had one unless there was someone there to see me having it and tell me that I had a seizure. Some times my husband would beable to tell when I was going to have one because he said I'd have a "look" on my face or I wouldn't be doing things right, but I had no idea these things were happening to me.
However recently I notice that I'm feeling weird before it is coming on and I'm awake during the seizure. I had one this morning while I was on the phone with my grandma. I was starting to feel weird, don't really know how to describe it but I'm sure most of you know what I'm talking about. Then I was trying to talk with her. I think I could understand what she was saying but when she would ask me questions I just couldn't think of the answer or the right words to say. I know that I was saying things but I don't know if it was actual words or not.
She stayed on the phone with my while my grandpap came over from next door and stayed with me until I came out of it compeletly. It lasted probably 10 minutes from the wierd feelings till I was normal again.
I also had a grand mal a little over a month ago. I didn't know it was coming on and I was blacked out for a few minutes but after that I did become aware that I was having the seizure. I knew I was laying on the ground and couldn't move then I was trying to talk but I was doing the same thing that I described above.
Could this be an improvement in the epilepsy and the severity of the seizures?
