I was just wondering if anyone else with simple and/or complex partial seizures get really sweaty before or after their seizure?

I also often have tingling in my fingers, is this usual or am I just weird! :dontknow:

I don't have sweating, but my seizures are mostly "somatosensory" (body-sense) seizures. I have all sorts of tingles, fuzzies, and weak feelings. Most of them are no more than that, but my bigger ones have tingling and shocks that start in my face and hand and spread through my whole body.

A good bit of times during a simple partial seizure I'll have tingling in my lips, arms and fingers. I may feel light headed and dizzy too. I might get blurry vision or see things that aren't there. I don't know what happens during a complex partial because I'm blacked out during it and most of the time don't even know that I've had it.

I don't think that I've ever gotten sweaty before or after a seizure. I know that I have had seizures before that have been caused from being too hot and sweating like crazy.

I feel sweaty after I wake up - I feel like I've run a marathon - I don't know what kind of seizures I have right now though, will be diagnosed officially tomorrow :D

I hyper-ventilated yesterday that may have been part of a partial seizure. It was as I was getting ready for my sister's funeral so it might have just been a panic attack. A klonipin took care of it so it could have been either.

I've never noticed any sweating. Occasionally I have some quivering in my arm pit during a partial seizure.

Sudden sweating falls under the "autonomic" category of form of a simple partial seizure, ones that cause changes in the part of the nervous system that controls "automatic" body functions. Other partial seizure symptoms that fall in this category: Goosebumps, flushing or going pale, changes in heart rate or in breathing, and that "butterflies in the stomach" feeling.

This makes sense as I also get flushed, have a very rapid heartbeat and have butterflies. Is it possible then to have autonomic symptoms as well as others as I also get dejavu :S/fear?

Yup! They are all forms of partial seizures. The four general symptom categories for partial seizures are:
-- Autonomic (described above).
-- Sensory: These can be distortions in any of the senses -- things like phantom smells/touches/sounds, illusions or other kinds of altered vision/impressions, feelings of weightlessness or numbness, etc.
-- Psychic: Sudden unexplained emotions (like fear, depression, happiness), deja vu or jamais vu, problems speaking, understanding or remembering
-- Motor: Muscle activity like a jerk or twitch, muscle weakness or stiffness, automatic hand movements, laughing, etc.

I've had goosebumps which will appear on only one side of my body even though I'm not cold some times sweaty hands

I've not had goosebumps, but I will get a sudden "shiver" sensation - almost like the fizzy feeling one would get with a mild electric shock (not the quick static electricity "snap"). It is not associated with being cold and only ever occurs on the right side of my body, usually right side of head or right arm. I have never given any thought to this being linked to seizures, and have not mentioned it to my doctors.

I have simple/complex partial seizures. I call that symptom superheating. I suddenly have "a fever", overheated body and sweatiness. This usually begins as a simple seizure and continues thru the complex seizures. Part of my emergency care instructions call for cool wet cloths to ease the symptoms.

I have that "fever" whenever I would take Miralax. I read that Miralax is a neurotoxin. I would feel so hot I would start pulling things out of the refrigerator/freezer and pulling them all over my body.

It would exactly as if I had a fever but if I checked it it would be normal.
