Does anyone else suffer with itchy eyebrows and itchy hair as well as skin literally peeling off as part of a side affect of keppra? its driving me crazy scratchin all the time.
 
Wait, I thought I read your other post about hair loss? Weren't you OFF the keppra? Are you back on it? I say if you have this many side effects maybe time for a different medication. How miserable :( Do you have any skin disorders prior to the meds? Im not an expert here by any means, but I remember reading side effects with one of the seizure meds warning about a terrible rash.

Itching is not necessarily a good sign. Dry skin, skin condition, allergy, intolerance to medicine.... all my guesses.

I'm sorry you are suffering. Must be quite frustrating and totally annoying. I know the aveno oatmeal products are very soothing. They even have a line that is hypoallergenic for babies... excellent.
 
Hey julie. I demanded to come off the meds but i had a few seizures when i was off them. The doc put me back on them while im waiting to see the neuro. The side affects are unreal i could probably give you about two pages full of them but every doc i have spoke to thinks am bin paranoid. The only good thing about these meds is its controlling my seizures. I have never got any energy with them and just cant be bothered. Im at a stagenow where i think whats the worst seuzuees or putting up with side affects. Im really fed up with it all. My moods are up and down all the time. Imeven getting hot flushes with them.
 
Nakamova shared this link with me. I like it a lot. Like you, I was told the meds didn't produce the side effects I told them I was experiencing. I was able to stop my medication (Keppra) because I only have simples right now. I know for a fact that the Keppra caused my side effects regardless of what they say. This link Nakamova shared should help you find some answers. I know there are several different meds to try. I hope you can see the doctor soon and get swited to something else.

I choose seizures. At least in between I feel normal. But like I said, so far they are only simples. To live with such horrible side effects everyday is so hard, but seizures are hard too. Its like choosing between two sucky options. Whick is the least sucky. :ponder:
 
Thanks julie. If my seizures werent too bad i probs would choose them but i feel just as bad as side affects aftr a seiezure. I cant won whatever i do. My app with neuro aint until21st july.
 
Someone please help its driving me crazy all this itchyness. the more im scratching the more hair comes out.
 
Your timing is insane with this question! I have had skin condition issues for years but with everything else to deal with I just said never mind the cosmetic stuff. Well the "cosmetic stuff" just jumped up and bit me in the A$$!!!! The redness on my face that kinda looks like permanent blush and sometime flaky, crawled up to into my eye lids 2 weeks ago causing imflamation of the occular surface. I have been on drops and drops and ointment for the pass two weeks praying for this to go away. Have an appointment this morning to see how I'm doing.
Now I wonder if its gotten worse over the years cuz of the Keppra????
