Hey everybody,

I haven't been here in who knows how long. Just thought I'd come by and see what's new. My quick question is do many of you have problems with your jaw/the joint? I see an oral surgeon as I have been having continuing problems. At first I was having massage for "TMJ" and a chiropractor. My dentist then took additional xrays and she suspects bone on bone on one side of the jaw and misalignment on the other side of the jaw. Pain is minimal depending on what I do. Some days it radiates through my jaw and feel it in my neck.

I hope you are doing better, Gilles, I know you've had a very tough year.

When I first went on lamictal I clenched my teeth a bit at night, but that side effect went away. Aside from that I haven't had any jaw issues.

Here are a few CWE threads on the topic (including one you started :)) that might be of interest:

Nakamova,
Still having a tough time as I had my birthday not that long ago. Another first without her. I am making choices on how I view things that seem to help my daily outlook. I still miss my wife terribly but you have to work with what you know have.

The good news is when I took my son in for his wisdom teeth I asked if they had any cancellations and I went from September to next Monday as they just had a cancellation. I know that Vimpat has bruxisim listed as a side effect which may have made my clenching worse. All I know is that I laugh less then I used to, don't open my mouth much to talk. Some days I use ice packs for a bit of relief and if there is stressful days that seems to make it that much worse.

Gilles
