Studies suggest it could be worth having a closer look at EEG neurofeedback for treating ADHD. In 2002 an experiment involving 100 children with ADHD suggested that EEG neurofeedback could contribute towards a significant improvement in symptoms.

In 2003 a study involving 34 children with ADHD seemed to suggest that EEG neurofeedback was just as good as methylphenidate (Ritalin) in treating the symptoms of the condition.

Many insurance companies will cover EEG neurofeedback for ADD/ADHD because the studies show such strong evidence for its efficacy.

I wonder if any other learning disabilities would also fall in that catagory. I think I may just pay up front and if we see a remarkable decrease in episodes, I will put together a report as to the reason for this. Then show the insurance company how I have saved money considering the ER costs.
