Checking in for my viedo EEG This morning. Just washed and combed my hair for the last time for 7 DAYS.... YUCK! Lets hope they decied these episodes I'm having are not just in my head. OOPS Wait let me rephrase that. Lets hope they are in my brain and not in my head!:pop: We'll have to wait and see! I'll keep you updated through out the week
 
Good luck with your test! I just did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Not much fun. I hope you have a lot of stuff to keep you occupied. Not washing your hair for the week isn't nearly as bad as trying to get all the glue out when you can :) It will take several days to get it all. Can't wait to hear how you are doing

Ugh, when I had a 3 day I buzzed my hair off pretty short - the benefit of being a guy. It helped with not washing it and with getting the glue out. 7 days sounds pretty rough though.
 
Oh no huskymom, really that bad?? Ugghhh. I have to go for two weeks and my hair is down to my butt. Great *!#*@!

Pita- best of luck!! Hmmm, wonder if there's any way of checking email in the hospital? Hope to hear from you soon :)
 
All wired and glued up. Bring on the seizures:banana:

I tried to get my hair cut before today. I'm checking my email on my phone. So if my spelling is a litter bad you'll know why.
 
Best of luck to you. If things get to bad, give your hair a spritz or two of dry shampoo. You can get a decent one at any drug store.

LOL I remember that. The last day before I checked out, they let me wash my hair and gave me a comb to help get the stuff out of my hair. Boy, was that a job. I was in there forever, and I still had a lot of the glue stuck in my hair. It took a few days for it all to come out.
 
I've had some episodes but are non epileptic. Frustrating. The doc says there is activity on the left and hopes to catch one. He has taking me commpletely off lamictal and has dropped my Tegretol back to 800 mg from 1000. We started sleep deprovation last night only 4hrs of sleep. Keep your fingers crosssed because I'm. Running out of time
 
That sleep deprivation is a killer! I used to always stay up that late as a younger person...oh well. When I had mine done, on the fourth day, they came in and unwrapped my head for about a half hour just to let in some air. That was the best! I hope you have some other activity soon. At least the whole thing is almost over :)
 
They didn't wrap me up lucky I guess. They did come in this morning and re glue some of the leads. And put the gel in the rest. 48 hours to get this done. Come on mr brain!
 
Hi PITA,

When I had my Video EEG the neurologists/epitiologists wanted to try to catch a complex partial as they (along with auras) were my main seizures. I only ended up having a couple of auras but they did show up as seizure activity.

I started to sleep deprive myself on the 2nd night, only sleeping a few hours each night.
The sleep deprivation didnt worry me to much but the nights got boring & dragged lol.

My head kept getting itchy as well & it was bandaged up so I couldn't scratch. It was great when the techs finally removed the bandage & electrodes because then I was able to scratch my head & finally wash my hair lol.

Good luck with the rest of your EEG, I hope your brain listens & you do have a seizure.
 
I wasnt wrapped at all. and nobody came in to fix the leads or add more gel to them when I had a complex partial and pretty much took them all off.
 
Thanks. CQ. I had 4 hours last night havent napped all day and will try to stay up later tonight.
