John Freeman is THE book (the keto bible), it helped to put the ketogenic diet back on the list of alternative treatments in the nineties. Dr. Freeman is a famous child neurologist, works for the John Hopkins Medical Centre, known from the movie First do no harm with Meryl Streep. It's a good book for orientation when your kid is going to start on the diet. Basic info, not too difficult to understand.

Carl Stafstrom (red.) is a very specialistic book (and very expensive), meant for specialists like dietitians and neurologists, the chapters are written bij several authors from the perspective of different diciplines. It's worth to buy when the diet has proven to be effective for your child, usefull for finetuning, suitable for parents who know and understand the incrowd language, not for just orientation.

Deborah Snyder is a family physician who has a ketokid with epilepsy herself Her book is filled with usefull advice for day-to-day management of the diet, many recipes for keto-friendly meals and a day-to-day personal diary. Very usefull when your kid does understand about being on a diet and kids that are used to eat normal food, but not very relevant for severe handicapped kids and kids with a G-tube on ketocal formula.
