Do any of you guys have gastrointestinal problems while taking Lamictal? I get bouts of either diarrhea or constipation and abdominal pains once or twice a month.(sorry for TMI, lol) When I googled it, 50 people on Lamictal trial developed irritable bowel syndrome. So I'm kind of convinced that Lamictal is causing it.

A lot of medications - including AEDs - can cause GI upset. It doesn't mean, though, that the person has developed IBS.
Try changing how you take the medication: if you currently take it on an empty stomach, for example, try taking it with a meal or snack. Try varying what you eat when you take it. This will be different for everybody, but just as an example I would have less GI upset when I take my medication with a low fat snack or meal and without much sugar. After a couple of months, though, the GI issues resolved and now it doesn't seem to matter how I take the medication.

Lamictal is one of the meds that I'm on. I haven't had a solid bowl movement in I don't know how long. I asked my neuro about it and he said it's something that can happen.

I also go on at least 4 times a day too. And when I have to go I HAVE to go.

(sorry if that was TMIF!)
