Just wanted to ask if anyone w/ E takes anything for leg cramps?

the pain feels like knots in my legs, I have purchased all the different creams, but no help. I read to drink tonic water.

any feedback would be appreciated.

Is it both legs or just one? With me it's always the right hand side.

I try not to sit for too long and take small walks. Of course it only helps during the daytime. :(

I used to get leg cramps really bad but I started taking magnesium before going to bed and I don't get leg cramps.

I'm with Mary, I started taking additional magnesium along with my multis.

thanks you all,

I have taking Magnesium chloride 64mg.- 1 tablet at bedtime for over 2 years now.

How much do you all take?

I've been taking a magnesium taurate tablet, 125mg after dinner. It seems to help.

I am currently taking 1000 mg. magnes. by Mega Food which is a whole food. I don't know whether that makes a difference. It's difficult to gauge how much to take.

My wife would occassionally get leg cramps at night. She started taking some potassium supplements and she also does about 5-10 minutes of light stretching just before bed and the leg cramping has stopped.

When did you last have a run of the mill blood screening.

I had tingling, pins and needles, numbness and cramps.

Blood results have just come back showing low vit B12, D and folate.

It has been 2 to 3 years.

I am now on B-6,B-12, Folic acid, Vit D.

I take these in compound form, can't tolerate over the counter.

My doctor suggested magnesium for the leg and feet cramps. It didn't really help.

I bought a pair of good walking shoes ( over hundred $).

These seem to make my legs cramp worse.

I have added potassium at bedtime and that seems to be helping.

A blood test might still be in order as if it's pernicious anemia all the supliments won't make a difference it would need to be b12 jabs.
