My daughter has a seizure disorder and has had a couple of complex partials while awake. We had started taping her during sleep with a video camera and caught one episode where she was balled up and her whole body appeared to be jerking. Now i am actually wondering if it was one shaking leg that actually caused it to look like that, because i have seen two other episodes that involved significant leg jerking.
Getting around to my question, in a video from last night (actually early this morning) she had left sided leg jerking (which fits with her right sided EEG abnormalities) but then the left leg stopped and her right leg jerked and then kind of cried out or whined. Super odd. Anyways has anyone ever seen this? Or is this more likely to have been some kind of voluntary movement.

In the early stages when I first started having seizures they would seem to "jump" from one foot or leg to another. I have also woken up hearing my voice and in the midst of a seizure. None of this was unusual according to my neurologist.

:agree:

Myoclonic seizures or simple partial motor seizures can definitely move around. The balled-up posture is also fairly common.

Thanks guys. I was hoping that because it was switching this time that maybe it was somehow an intentional thing rather than a seizure thing. Thanks for the info!
