I have learned that if a family group came from a certain part of our globe that as an example were goat herders. Then later the cow was introduced. They as a "people" would have trouble with cow dairy. It is high in casein.

Wheat has similar problems for many people

I heard some news how a recent report says peanut allergies only seem to occur in the higher economic bracket. Is this because they are able to afford the testing needed or is it because of where their ancestry is from? Interesting to follow up on.

I have read a lot of histories on different boards. If you have a GI problem and seizures, it is a good indication that it is occuring from the gut. My daughter also had symptoms that I was not concerned about until her first seizure. It actually was her older brother who has severe GI issues that made me connect the two situations.

Autism being the poster child for neuro issues at the moment in the news, has a lot of information on this.

I apologize if I overwhelm you with resources. Read them at your leisure.

Last year I attended an event held by Doctors Without Borders. They collected money to buy more "Plumpy'nut" which is a peanutbutter-based fortified food they give to malnourished children in refugee camps. When they were asked if they ever had problems with children with severe peanut allergies, they said they never come across them in the camps. There's something about the western lifestyle that promotes severe peanut allergies, which is just not seen elsewhere in the world.

Don't worry about overwhelming me with resources -- the more I know, the more I can help him. Thank you for the links.

WOOT! Took my partner to the GP and the doc was concerned enough to order an EEG and a visit to a neurologist. It'll be a few months yet until we get in but, it's all underway now.

Plus, my partner is scaling back his neurontin because he got a very dangerous mood swing on it (they've been getting worse and worse as he kept taking it). He was prescribed it for his back pain, but it's made his pain worse, especially in the legs.

Anyway, things are a go, and it's just a matter of time now. Yay!
