Hi everyone,

Hope the new year is treating you right so far!! I might be posting in the wrong place ... if so, please forgive and feel free to move this :)

I wanted to say hello because it's been a while and to let you all know that I did get a job (yayy!!) and have been working since the beginning of December. It is in Toronto and for the first four weeks, I did have a commute of about 65 kms., each way every day, in absolutely horrendous traffic (any local readers, this was QEW in and out of Burlington). I had only been gluten-free for about a month when I started, so was worried about the driving (history of seizures behind the wheel) and I'm thrilled to report I haven't had one.

Info I found on here, that I was able to "latch on to" when I first realized what was going on in my head, was really what allowed me to focus and think I could pull it off >> simple stuff >> reading about the sucesses others had with dietary changes and little tips like shutting one eye when I'm driving if there is a light, movement or spatial pattern that is affecting me.

Four months ago I was a complete wreck >> in a shambles financially due to unemployment and trying to come to terms with the fact that I was experiencing photosensitivity epilectic seizures, manifesting while driving and that this was a threat to my driver's license >> and no license, to me, would mean I could forget about trying to find a job. It's a totally different ballgame now, though I have a long way to go still. And once I have that year in of being completely seizure-free, I will go to my doctor and start all the procedures of proper diagnosis and treatment.

So, I guess I wanna say a Big Thanks!! to everyone here >> for giving me information, faith that things would improve ... and ultimately, just for being here so that I could find you.

You're welcome!!! :) But hey, that's what we're here for! :):) I know 2010 is going to be a fantastic year!
