Soooo it's day one of quitting my 20 a day habit and OMG i wanna cig i wanna cig i wanna cig i wanna cig!

Not had one since midnight though so i'm doing ok.

I need to go find something to do, clean out the bird cages, hoover the ceiling or something.

Wish me luck?

I really wish you luck. It's not easy, have you tried renovating the house, like taking the kitchen apart. My wife got me just in time, pity she was not there when I took the wardrobe out, god that was hard.

Lol wardrobe :P

I just cleaned and put away my ash tray, now making some breakfast and thinking about what i can do to occupy myself. Suddenly all the jobs i've been putting off for months seem attractive!

Oh yeah there's no thanks button here lol.

Thanks guys, i'm off to the shop to not buy cigs :P I'm thinking of all the money i can save, like £200 ($300?) a month :O

Loopy Lou

I hope you were good when you got to the shops. How are you doing.

I just got some pop (soda) and some carrot sticks to munch on. I will be seeing in the dark tonight!

I hope this gets easier soon.

Loopy Lou

So do I hope it gets easier for you. I have no good advice except keep at it.

Thanks guys.

I leave the room for a minute, come back and the bird in my avatar is sitting in my bowl of carrot sticks, merrily throwing them around. Little bugger!

Good luck.! I did it in 2007 and never went back. All the money i saved i got a real cool PC.
They say the first 48 hours are the hardest.
one thing you might think about is letting your Drs. know.

Day two, still going but finding it harder.

I seem to be having quite a few partials today too.

I have my E review on saturday morning with my doctor so i'll bring it up with them then I'm going to put all the money i'm saving this month into a savings account so i can go spend it at the end of the month lol.

Good on you Lou for making the commitment to yourself. The best things in life require hard work. Cheers.

Loopy Lou

I found that with the partials as well. You keep it up, you are doing good.

It's a tough habit to break. But once your free, you'll notice your mind craves it less and less. You can do it!

Best of luck on quitting! I know that it's not easy, I have done it 3 times... (3rd times the charm, I hope, been a good 5 years this time!). I had the special gum when I quit, which took the edge off. After the first few days, it did get a lot easier. Now I hate being around smoking people just because it smells gross. Anyway, I hope you stick too it, you will feel a lot better, and save a lot of money!
