Good luck Lou, hope you can stick with the quitting. A friend of mine completely rearranged her home when she quit -- not only getting rid of ashtrays, but moving chairs and tables and pictures, as if she was starting a brand new life after a serious break-up. It can help not to have any visual cues or reminders of your smoking life around.

I did cave last night and had half of one after a bad day, but back on it today.

Half a cig in 3 days isn't bad considering i was on more than 20 a day so i'm not going to beat myself up about it.

Got a friend coming round for a few drinks tonight and she's a smoker so this will be tough!

Congratulations, 3 days/1/2cig is pretty great!

Your friend will be a test alright. Can you do something else with your hands -- knitting, or something like that?

Well today i've been doing loads of training with the cockatiel (he's a cantankerous bugger so it's slow going lol) So that's kept me busy, now i'm going to clean the place and do some baking so that should keep me busy til she gets here. The tempting bit will come when we're watching movies and having a couple of drinks and stuff.

You don't want to know what happened to my stress ball yesterday haha. I was talking to my friend earlier (the one who's coming round tonight) and she said she might follow my lead and go see the stop smoking nurse too and give it a good try.

My plan for tomorrow is to go for a long walk then clean out the bird cages which takes a fair while.

Just trying to keep busy lol.

That's good that she might join you in quitting smoking -- misery loves company, right?

Well I think you are great to be trying, your a better person than me. Best of luck to you and I hope you succeed.

Well done, four hours is a great start! I went for the inhalator and the mouth spray. Omg the first time i tried the mouth spray i thought i was gonna choke to death lol.

Indeed it does lol. She has an appointment with the stop smoking service now, she will be joining me on monday.

I will have an appointment coming up soon to check my carbon monoxide and oxygen levels, am wondering how much they will change :O

Keep up the good work cazzy and lou, I am rooting for you!

about 5hrs now am i gasping for one bet ya life i am...1hour at a time

You're doing well Cazzy - i found the first few hours the hardest.

I've been having tons of partials all night, waking me up, the same kind i had during my EEG which i actually don't get too often. Needless to say i have a thumping headache today. Normally the first thing i do after a seizure (weird i know) is stumble around looking for a cigarette. After a partial i can talk myself out of it but if i have a tonic clonic i wouldn't be corpus mentus enough lol.

i fighting head ache now so going bed soon.my head aches get bad that i throw up.have i had sneaky fag afraid so,back on wagon again
