apparently i have a pineal cyst in my brain, really high protein in my cerebral spinal fluid, and high levels of IGg in my csf as well. all pointing to lupus cerebritis as the cause of seizures and neurological regression. i'll be seeing my neuro and my rheumatologist when i come back from vacation. DISNEY WORLD :) yaaay

i just hope i don't get sicker while i'm down there. i'll have my wheel chair, but it will still be exhaustiing

Sorry to hear about your results. But....

GLAD to hear about Disney world! Yeaaaahhhhhhhh! :woot:

thanks endless. i just reaaly want some normal no big deal test results, and i don't want anymore diagnoses. its too much.

How did you get your neurologist to do a lumbar puncture on you? I'd really like to have this done.

And what do you see a rheumatologist for? I've had chronically elevated rheumatoid factors for probably a decade at least. I always suspected that my seizure were somehow related to these elevated rheumatoid factors.

i have lupus, so i have to see a rheumy to monitor my compliments, kidneys, liver, heart, lungs, brain, and stomach functions. and any other organ including skin . lupus is an autoimmune where the body's antibodies attack the body's healthy tissues instead of outside bacteria. it causes severe arthritis and fatigue.

my neuro did a lumbar puncture to see if the antibodies were causing an abundance of white blood cells or severe inflammation in the blood vessels of my brain and spinal cord. if so, thats what could have been causing the seizures.

i don't have a positive rheumatoid factor. generally, if you have a positive rheumatoid factor, it will only attack the joints(rheumatoid arthritis) i dont think it would have anything to do with your brain. you might wanna get your ANA and compliments checked. if the ANA comes back positive and the compliments are low, then i would get an lumbar puncture.

good luck
olivia
