Has anyone heard of spontaneous pneumothorax that is genetic? If that makes sense. My dad told me the other day spontaneous pneumothorax is a genetic issue in our family. He is afraid I may have one because I have all the same symptoms he did when his happened. I am making an appointment today to get checked.

Interesting. When my son was in high school the doctor sent him for a chest x-ray because of trouble breathing after a track meet. The man taking the x-ray said because he was tall, thin, and male, his risk for spontaneous pneumothorax was increased. Fortunately, his x-ray was clear.

Yea I read about that...but my dad thinks I may have one because its genetic I guess...trying to get into the doctor today.
