MBTI, Meyers-Briggs Type Indicator, is a standardized personality type indicator test used in psychology that categorizes a person into one of sixteen personality types

I'm an INTJ and have seizures and epilepsy

does anyone else here know their MBTI type?
as an informal survey, I wonder if any of you who have epilepsy would be willing to find an MBTI test online and list your type here

I'm wondering if there may be any correlation to personality type and epilepsy!

if anyone has any info on this type of correlation already can you provide any info? links?

I considered the same thing when I had my personality type evaluated but I see no connection at all.

Even if you don't know peoples MB personality type you can see for yourself how varied the personalities on this site alone are.

varied still does not negate the possibility of similarities

maybe an "I" or "E" is predominant
or a "T" for instance
while the other aspects could be varied

I'm not a psychologist but just found the possibility of a cursory similarity compelling

no - MBTI stands for "Meyers Briggs Typology Indicator" or something like that

MBTI isn't a "type" itself

I could have been clearer on that

I'm an INTJ - not an MBTI... an INTJ is a type in the MBTI spectrum

That's an interesting question; I'm an INFJ (on the cusp of E -- I took the test over five years ago, so I may've crossed to ENFJ by now)

According to the online test I'm ISFJ. But I didn't feel that all the questions had a Yes/No answer. That's probably diagnostic in itself...

I was an EIFJ, but like nakamova, I didnt think that most of the questions were a cut and dry Yes or No. I always have reasons and it depends on the scenario.

not cut and dry - true

I took it a few times over time and I agree with the result of INTJ overall
I think one other time I'd received different results but it was very close to INTJ also

:pfft:

I was an ESFP so it's safe to say there's no correlation to this what so ever.

About 15 years ago I was an ENFP. Just now I was told I"m an INTJ.

I'm with you, CathyAnn31

The E and the I are going to remain the first 2 letters. Basically saying whether your considered intravert or extravert. There is no correlation on this. Because my family of 6 did this and 3 were Extravert, 3 were intravert. I'm the only one with Epilepsy and was an Extrovert
