I was on 90mg duloxetine and taking ibuprofen for lower back and knee pain. I walk daily 3000 steps. Help walk our 2 dogs. I was having various GI issues. Saw my PCP. My BP was 178/102. I have hypertension and have been on lisinpril for 10 years. A new article JAMA neurology June 2024 sited ARB blood pressure meds reduce epilepsy incidence. So I stopped all NSAIDS. My duloxetine dose was decreased to 30mg daily. I was given a prescription for losartan 25mg daily. It is the ARB mentioned in the research article. I re started tai chi - somatic tai chi for stress reduction. I have done well in the past when de prescribing is part of my treatment plan.

I am better on the duloxetine 30mg. The losartan has lowered my BP. I have recently found through research anti depressants all have anti inflammatory effects on the brain. This is positive. Also my research says escitalopram might be the safest option. I have an appt Wednesday with my psychiatrist so I will discuss. I have been very stressed. Some of stress coming with same issues I have mentioned in previous posts. My SSN was breached 3 times so I am carrying out an action plan. Still seizure free. Not sure why still with all my stress despite a breach rhythm. Pardon this but the US is psychopathological. Just crazy. No rationality. Thus really scares me.

Glad to hear that you are better on your new medication schedule. It can be a rough journey to find a good schedule.

As far as the craziness in the world:
